Time Lines is designed to be a simple and creative tool for visualizing time. We do not collect any personal data, browsing history, or any other identifiable information.
  • User Input: The app allows you to draw freely on a canvas and create custom time markers. All drawings and customizations are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system and are not transmitted to external servers.
  • Device Information: The app may collect anonymous diagnostic data solely to improve performance. This includes crash reports, error logs, and usage statistics, which are processed through Apple's built-in analytics services. This data does not contain personally identifiable information.
  • Time Data: The app uses your device's system time to track and display the current time on your drawn timeline. This data is not stored, transmitted, or shared.
  • App Interactions: We may analyze non-personal interaction data, such as how frequently certain features are used, to enhance functionality and user experience. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.
  • Location Data: The app requires occasional access to your location to calculate local sunrise and sunset timings. This data is used exclusively for this purpose and is neither stored nor transmitted—it remains entirely on your device. You can disable location access through your device settings at any time without affecting core app functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information


Time Lines does not collect, store, or process any personal data on external servers. All data, including drawings and time-related interactions, remains entirely on your device.
  • The app functions locally, ensuring complete user privacy.
  • Your drawing patterns and customizations are stored locally in your device's UserDefaults system.
  • Data is shared between the app and its widget using Apple's secure WidgetKit framework, but remains on your device.
  • Any system analytics collected are handled through Apple's built-in privacy-focused infrastructure.
  • No information is shared with third parties, stored on external servers, or transmitted in any form.
  • Location access is used strictly for determining sunrise and sunset times and is not used for tracking or any other purpose.

We do not sell, share, or distribute any data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services


Time Lines does not integrate with third-party services, social media platforms, or advertising networks. Any analytics data collected is processed through Apple's privacy-focused infrastructure and remains anonymous.

4. Data Retention & Security


  • All drawings, custom dots and time-related data remain local to your device in UserDefaults storage.
  • Data is shared only between the main app and its widget through Apple's secure WidgetKit framework.
  • If you delete the app, all associated data will be permanently removed from your device.
  • We do not retain, store, or transfer any user data to external servers.
  • The app requires an internet connection occasionally to calculate local sunrise and sunset timings based on location access granted during setup. This location data is used solely for determining sunrise and sunset times and is not stored, transmitted, or shared—it remains entirely on the device.

5. Your Rights & Choices


Since Time Lines does not collect personal data, there are no user accounts or stored information that require management. However, you can always:
  • Opt out of Apple's analytics tracking in your device settings.
  • Disable app-level access to system analytics via your device's privacy settings.
  • Control location access permissions through your device settings.
  • Reset all app data by deleting and reinstalling the app.
  • Reset customizations to default using the in-app "Reset" option.

Although all data is stored locally on your device and automatically deleted when you uninstall the app, you may contact us at the email addresses below if you have any concerns about your data or if you need assistance with removing app data.

6. Compliance with Regulations


Time Lines is designed to be compliant with privacy regulations including:
  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): As we do not collect or process personal data, GDPR compliance requirements are inherently met.
  • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We do not sell or share personal information of California residents.
  • App Tracking Transparency: Our app does not track users across other companies' apps or websites, and therefore does not require tracking permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
  • COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act): Our app does not collect personal information from children or any other users, making it safe for users of all ages.

7. Age Restrictions


Time Lines does not collect personal information from users of any age. The app is appropriate for users of all ages, and there are no features that pose risks to minors. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Widget Data


Time Lines includes a widget that displays time information on your home screen. The widget accesses the same locally stored data as the main app using Apple's WidgetKit framework. No additional data collection occurs through the widget, and all widget data remains on your device.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy


We may update this policy from time to time to reflect updates in the app's functionality or to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Any significant changes will be reflected in the app update notes. Continued use of the app after updates means you agree to the revised policy.
